Holding the Heat

From rant to holding it gently

Well it’s a respite from the wall to all sunshine, and the wall to all heat, that’s been going with it. In fact it’s really quite cool, and I’m sure you can hear the wind (this seems to pick up the wind really well) that is cool. The sun is behind the clouds and for once there’s a little (yeah) oasis.

I’m going to go back to a theme of mine, because I am worried about the whole climate thing because we haven’t had any respite. And that’s unusual, but it also means that the planet isn’t getting any respite, the earth isn’t getting any respite, so things are really hotting up. The oceans aren’t getting any respite, so they’re getting hotter really quite quickly. And so on and so on, and all we human beings talk about is what we can afford to do, even though there are children in 40 degree heat at school. All we talk about is what we can afford to do, not what we actually need to do. And that really pisses me off that we’re not able to come up with some new creative way of dealing with human need that isn’t in a bloody balance sheet (excuse my French!).

Okay, so I’m going to hold it gently. I’ve got my hand out palm upwards, and I’m holding it gently because it won’t do me any good, or you any good, if I just rant and leave it at that. And right now on my walk, it’s about looking after me and, whatever you’re doing after you’ve heard this, you look after you as well.

Those of you who are a bit more active and younger might reach out and do something about the state of things That’s great. Please do.

And those of us who are older perhaps, or have a different way of approaching life, let’s just hang onto being loving, caring, compassionate, light as much as we can, and look after each other and ourselves as best as we can.

Take care
