Wood as sibling

I’ve recorded another ponder while walking in the local wood and included that in this post; please excuse the “um”s and I notice there are quite a few sniffs as well! I shall try to reduce those in future recordings. I’d like to say here that I try to quite deliberately use the singular “wood” and “tree” throughout, and shall try to do so in the future too, as a reminder that although woods appear to be lots of trees, they are all connected and so become what I’m going to call a collective singular!

The transcript of what I’ve recorded should appear here as well (though I can’t see it in the preview) if you’d like to check in with that. It’s certainly a ponder rather than a poem, and I wander off my main point a couple of times, and I’ve decided that’s part of the fun of this raw recording for posting without trying to edit. I’d be grateful to know what you think in the comments.
